Never Too Much [Tom Ford Fall 2012]

Tom Ford has worked hard to make his name and brand synonymous with quintessential luxury. As a lover of all things glamourous, Ford consistently demonstrates his superior skill at creating a comprehensive look that is perfectly balanced between understated and over-the-top. For Fall 2012, the designer seems to be exploring a tactile obsession as texture was an underlying story within the collection. A plush red fur coat, metallic python sheath dress and supple gown cut from hand stitched crocodile scales were particularly outstanding. As always the clothes were well-tailored, luxe and sexy. Shoulders were puffed up, and waists were cinched with bold, large scale hardware. Ford finished the looks with knee-high boots or classic pumps in leather and python with gold-tipped heels.
